Tech Trends – Twitter
Here is a video about what Twitter is and how we as teachers can use it in our classrooms.
I had a good week at school, the new iMac’s are running well, still a few kinks to work out with the new OS. The students are really enjoying the nice bright and big screens too.
Now I’m trying to wrap up all my school work for APU and finish my videos and Podcasts.
This was a good week at school. We got 30 new iMac’s for my lab and have spent the last few days setting everything up. The kids love them. So much nicer than the eMacs we were using. It has been a little tiring setting up all the restrictions and guidelines on the computers again, but all in all a great week.
I’m trying to stay ahead in my APU classes too, so I don’t get stressed out like last quarter. I have really enjoyed the classes this quarter and I’m looking to finish strong!!
Using Gradients (Screencast)
In this lesson, we will be covering how to use and create gradients in Adobe Illustrator. It will also cover the different types of gradients and how to use the Gradient Tool to redirect your gradient.
Follow the instructions in the screencast and create your own using different shapes and colors in your gradient.

Blog 5
I have been unable to post everything to the EDUC 515 blog, so I’m posting my blog link for week 5 here.

I love this site for inspiration and ideas. Really great resources for photographers. The Fuel Network has many various sites for different mediums, so have a look.
Blog 4
I have been unable to post everything to the EDUC 515 blog, so I’m posting my blog link for week 4 here.
This is a great site for creative resources. For those that are already creative, or for just getting started.

Rough Week
This has been a rough week for me. I’ve been sick two of the last three weeks and it has been very hard for me to find a groove at work and at night school. I found out too that the program we were going to use in my classes was not installed on the computers, so I’ve been stressing out trying to find an alternative program that will work best and be easiest for students to understand.
On the up side, I’ve been gaining some knowledge and ideas from my classes at APU to use in my classroom. I hope that this week will prove to be a better one and that I can continue to challenge myself and my students.
